Medical Profession – Balance between Money and Dedication

Those, who have the enthusiasm to serve their society and provide treatment for the woes of people, practice medical profession. And I think only those people, who really have this fanaticism, must be treated as true medical professionals. I have come across some apathetic people in hospitalist jobs, who consider it as the profession to earn name and fame, along with oodles of dollars. On the other hand, there are people in this noble profession of medicines, who place their service for society at first place.

These are the people, who are not loyal medical professionals, as this profession demands allegiance above self interest and service before money. It is the fact that people spend considerable amounts of money to achieve the degree in this profession. They need to undergo extensive physician recruitment procedures to get a decent job in medical world. And because of all these reasons, they aim at earning high through this profession. However, money is not the sole entity, which must be the only target for these service providers.

There must be a perfect balance between money and dedication to keep up the sprit of this profession. The people in doctor jobs must be proficient to earn money as well as acclaim by serving the society to best of their capabilities. There are tears of gratitude in the eyes of patients and their relatives, when people in physician jobs treat them. This is the reason, why these professionals are placed at an equivalent place of God.
