Tips for Successful Web Design

Far too often, people will visit some type of internet marketing or ecommerce website only to become frustrated and leaving. You can create your web design pages so they entice the customer without causing them to feel annoyed. One great example is the advertisement people must watch or close out before they even get inside the actual website. Most often, these ads include music and animation, which takes a long time to load. Then, the “x” spot to close out the add is often hard to find, resulting in the customer simply leaving the site altogether. Additionally, while music as a background for a website might seem like a great idea, and it does work in a small number of cases, to most people, it is bothersome.  Remember the large audience with every design step.

Another tip for making your web design pages more user-friendly is to create it so that as the customer clicks through the site, he/she is moving forward or backward within the same internet window. Websites where a new window opens each time the customer clicks will drive people mad. Finally, while the majority of online businesses use advertisement, be careful. The one that kills a site quicker than anything else is the pop-up. Now, if you need to have one or two, that is fine but when the entire home page is smothered in pop-ups, again you are pushing away many of your customers, people that could be buying what you have to sell.
