If You Must Sell Your Diamond Ring, Do It Privately

There was an ad in the paper that said something like, must sell diamond ring. I wondered why anyone would put an ad in the local paper that said that they must sell diamond ring when they really should just go into any of the local pawn shops, jewelry stores or even contact one of those gold buyers that could solve her problem much quicker.

I know that a few friends of mine went to the local jewelry store and did sell diamonds out of old rings, then contacted the online gold buyers and sold the settings too. They thought that they would be able to get more for the gold from the online people since they do not have the overhead like the small town jewelry stores do. That is probably what the lady in the newspaper ad should do, sell them separately. I do not know anyone who would want to buy it to wear. The thought of wearing someone else’s ring, is just kind of weird.

I know that if I ever need to sell diamonds of any kind, loose or in settings, that I would not advertise it in the paper. It needs to be done privately and so that no one knows that you need the money, or were possibly dumped by your boyfriend or husband.
